It's true what they say; sometimes even the most intelligent people lack common sense. Take my other half for example. He'd offered to do the weekly food shop which meant that I could come home from work and put my feet up....great! I headed straight for the fridge to see what goodies he'd bought and to my amazement this is what I saw. A dozen eggs, lid removed, propped up in a side compartment of the fridge door at practically a right angle!
I paused and waited for the laughter to reveal his hiding place, but nothing. He wasn't home. This must be a joke, right? Surely they were meant to have fallen on me? I called his mobile and he answered in his usual cheery voice, which confused me even more so I just asked the question, "Why have you put the eggs in the fridge like that?" The response dumbfounded me further, "They're fine. I checked them a few times before I left". Seriously, how often do we check that we've put our food away properly?! Surely the fact that he felt the need to check, should have told him that it probably wasn't right?! Looking at this picture, I still feel baffled.
